Instagram is the place to be when it comes to building and marketing your business online. Everyone’s online these days, which means you don’t have a choice but to promote your brand through social media platforms like Instagram. It’s an efficient way to reach lots of people, especially if you outsource your engagement.
Instagram bots are an interesting and potentially harmful way of doing so, and the internet is divided about whether you should use them or not. Let’s take a look at one of these and see whether it’s worth putting money into.
What’s the Big Deal with Instagram Followers?
It always pays to cover every aspect of your Instagram growth, even if you might not feel like it. If you have had any experience in the Instagram growth industry, you will know that your Instagram followers are just as important as your likes and comments, because they all come together to make up your engagement rate. Your engagement rate is the ratio between your Instagram followers and the kind of interactions that you get on your content, so if you are getting way more followers on your Instagram profile than interactions on your content, people are going to start asking questions. The more balanced your engagement rate is, the better you’re going to look not only to Instagram, but your existing community. This way, you’ll be able to be promoted and shared elsewhere on Instagram, which is going to increase your chances of doing better with your followers. Luckily, if you don’t want to do everything by yourself, there are growth services out there that can help you, you’ve just got to know where to look, and how to find ones that aren’t going to scam you and take advantage of you.
What is Instavast?
Instavast is a web-based service that helps people to grow their Instagram accounts through management and promotion.
Essentially, they are your average Instagram bot – they automatically schedule typical engagement tasks like commenting, liking, following, etc.
They follow other people on your behalf in the hopes that they might check out your page in return. The more you engage with others, the bigger your account should grow.
Instavast is a company that claims to be a complete suite of Instagram marketing tools that helps its clients reach their wider audience effortlessly. They say they can help you like, comment, direct message, post, follow, and unfollow, or perform any activity on Instagram with the help of their features. They say that their overall goal is to help their clients with their engagement strategy, so that they can in turn focus on their content and improve their results with analytics. They also say that their clients get access to multiple features, so that you can set your Instagram growth on autopilot and spend more of your time creating high-quality content as a result. Of course, things aren’t looking as good behind the scenes as they seem right now, and we believe that this is the kind of company that is just trying to take advantage of their clients and sell them low-quality engagement. We are concerned by all the promises that they claim to be able to keep on their website and think that it is better to go with a company that wants to get on the ground level with their clients, and not be so unrealistic when it comes to their promises.
That’s the theory, anyway. Let’s review Instavast and see what it’s like to use as a bot.
Then we’ll determine whether it’s worth throwing money at or not.
A Review of Instavast
First, let’s check out the positives
- Secure Site: Instavast provides a secure website, which is number one when thinking about using a bot. Whenever their account doesn’t appear to be secure, stay well away.
- Visible Prices: Instavast displays their prices clearly with the right amount of transparency. This is an advantage because it means you won’t come across hidden costs further down the line.
- FAQ page: there is a new FAQ page, despite initial reports that they don’t have a FAQ or help page. This must have been added recently.
- Verified PayPal Payment: their payment process is done via PayPal.
Now, for the negatives
- 24/7 Help: on the back of the first negative, they also don’t have 24/7 assistance. Again, not a good thing when you’re providing people a service. Ideally, you need to be reachable and accessible if something happens to the service.
- No Email Form: they don’t have an email, and phone number form present on their site.
- No Real Reviews: their website doesn’t present any genuine reviews of their services. This should make you suspicious, and a little annoyed that you have to go elsewhere on the internet to track down authentic reviews.
- The Name: they are infringing on Instagram’s copyright with their company name and can be shut down at any time by a legal letter from Instagram.
Instavast says they offer their clients a number of different social media management features, from analytics to customer engagement, social media monitoring, post scheduling, brand tracking, content management, multi-account management, and automatic publishing. What we get out of this list of features is that they are biting off more than they can chew, especially if they are just sending low-quality engagement out the door. They come across as the kind of company that want to be able to do it all for their clients, but at the end of the day, if they are trying to spread themselves too thin, then they’re going to be going for quantity over quality, and you won’t get the engagement that you need.
Instavast claims to offer their clients a free trial, so that you can get to know their services before you commit long-term to anything. From here, they say that their Instagram bot is going to cost you $15 a month, and can help you manage one account. We are a little bit confused by their features, and how they are divided into different price points, but as far as we can tell, you have to choose basically what aspect of your Instagram you want to grow. This means that if you just want to focus on automatic direct messages, this is going to cost you $10 a month, and if you want to concentrate just on your post schedule right now, this is also going to cost you $10 a month. We imagine that you can sign up for more than one at the same time, but we don’t think that this is necessarily that cost efficient.
Is Instavast a Scam? Is Instavast Safe?
In conclusion, Instavast is not a safe bot to use.
Beyond the initial reason is that they are a web-bot and therefore you risk being shut down by Instagram, they aren’t safe for some other reasons already mentioned. It’s better not to trust any website that doesn’t have real reviews that you can trust.
Instavast Alternatives & How it Compares
Instavast has made a somewhat halfhearted attempt to convince potential clients to work with them, but we see right through this, and believe that they aren’t worth your time. Let’s look at some alternatives.
Instazood is an ideal Instavast alternative because they know that their clients not only want to be able to do well with their Instagram page, but they want to do well while remaining safe. One of the first things you’ll notice when you visit their site is that they can help you with a free trial for five days, which we think is plenty of time to get to know them and decide whether they are suited to you or not. They also come with an online chat system, so that you can talk to a customer representative should anything go wrong.
Hootsuite is not necessarily the best Instavast alternative for the beginner, but we think that if you are prepared to put a little bit of time into it, you will eventually get over this initial learning curve and realize that they are one of the best options for your Instagram growth in the market. We love that they have plenty of tutorials on their website that can help you figure out their features, so you can get started with them in no time.
Buffer is an ideal Instavast alternative because they have such similar features that the only difference between the two is the quality of them. They have a video tutorial that you can check out in the beginning, so that you can get to know how they work, and they ultimately want to help their clients with every aspect of their engagement growth, so that at the end of the day you can focus on doing what you love when it comes to your brand, and not worrying about how many people are interacting with your content.
Another thing to take into consideration with Instavast is the name.
Most big brand companies like Instagram have strict copyright laws in place around their brand name. This means that another brand can’t use the phrases “Insta” and “gram“ in their name.
Because Instavast has “Insta” in their name, they have violated this and could already be in trouble with Instagram. It’s best to avoid this bot – even just for that reason alone.
